Tomb of the Mask from Playgendary has a simple trick: you swipe, your explorer slides until a wall stops them, and a rising glow pushes you to keep moving. We wanted that loop without the install, so we built Slide Maze, a stripped-down maze arcade that runs on this page. It’s free, there is nothing to download, and you don’t sign up for anything.
Play Slide Maze now
Tap Play, then swipe in any direction. Collect every dot to clear the maze. Sound is off until you switch it on.
How to play
Swipe on a touch screen, drag with the mouse, or use the arrow keys or WASD. Your hero slides in a straight line and only stops at a wall, so every swipe is a small planning decision. Slide over a dot to collect it. Collect all of them and the next maze starts.
Red spiky bumpers are the hazards. Touching one costs a heart, and you have three. The amber glow creeping up from the bottom of the board is the clock: if it reaches your hero, the run ends. Stars are optional and worth 25 points each.
Every maze is built so a bumper-free route to every dot exists, and the mazes come from today’s date, so everyone gets the same sequence on the same day. Play once a day to grow your day streak. Your best score and streak live in your browser’s local storage. Nothing leaves your device.
How it compares to Tomb of the Mask
Slide Maze keeps the part that makes Tomb of the Mask work: slide-until-you-stop movement, dots to collect, and a hazard that keeps you from overthinking. A run lasts somewhere between thirty seconds and two minutes, and restarting takes one tap. The first maze is small and gentle. After that the walls get denser, bumpers appear, and the glow speeds up.
We left a lot out on purpose. The original has masks and power-ups, a coin economy, character unlocks, and a huge pool of handcrafted-feeling temple levels. We drew our own hero, bumpers, and board, and we built no shop, no progression, and no ads. Our mazes are generated, which means they are fair but plainer than a designer’s levels.
If you like the slide-and-dodge feel, the real game is the better long-term pick. It has far more variety and it fits in your pocket. Think of our version as the quick browser taster. We also covered the original in our treasure hunter games roundup if you want similar ruin-runners.

Frequently asked questions
Can I play Tomb of the Mask in a browser?
We know of no official browser version of Tomb of the Mask, which is an Android game. The game on this page, Slide Maze, is our own original maze arcade built around the same slide-until-you-stop idea, and it runs in any modern browser on phone or desktop.
Is this the real Tomb of the Mask?
No. Slide Maze is an original game we built, inspired by swipe-to-slide maze games. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Playgendary or the publisher of Tomb of the Mask. All art and sound in our version are original work, and the download link above points to the Android app.
Is it free?
Completely. There are no ads, no purchases, no accounts, and no tracking. Your best score and day streak are stored in your browser’s local storage and are never sent anywhere.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, the game makes no further network requests, so it keeps running through a dropped connection. If you want a game on your home screen, install the Android app.
Why are the mazes the same every run today?
The maze sequence is generated from today’s date, so everyone faces the same layouts on the same day. That makes scores comparable: if a friend reports 600 points today, you had the same mazes. A new sequence arrives at midnight, which is also how your day streak grows.
What are the controls?
Swipe on a touch screen, drag with the mouse, or press the arrow keys or WASD. There is also a mute toggle in the top bar if you want sound.
