Running Pace Calculator on Android answers the question every runner asks before a race: how fast do I need to go? We built Stride Solver, a free pace calculator that runs right here in your browser. Pick any two of pace, time and distance and the third appears. It also draws splits, predicts race times and sets training paces, with no install and no signup. It opens with a 10K already filled in.

Solve your pace now

Choose what to solve for, then drag the dials or type a value. The result updates on every change.

How to use Stride Solver

The Solve tab links pace, time and distance. Pick Pace, Time or Distance as the unknown, then set the other two with the dials, the plus and minus buttons or by typing. Presets cover 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, and the km and mi switch changes every pace on the page.

The Splits tab shows a table and a pace chart, with a dial that shifts your second half faster or slower. Predict estimates other race distances from your result using the Riegel formula. Zones turns the same result into six training paces.

The Daily tab gives you three pacing puzzles a day, the same for everyone. You see a distance and a target time, guess the pace, and score up to 100 per round. Your inputs, scores and streak stay on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.

How it compares to Running Pace Calculator

Stride Solver keeps the core idea: two numbers in, the third out, instantly. It adds splits, a pace chart and prediction on top, since those are the follow-up questions a pace answer usually raises.

It is a browser tool, so it has no notifications, no saved race list, no widgets and no account. The app lives on your phone, works from the home screen, and suits you when you want a quick answer between runs. The web version suits a desk, a shared link or a device where you do not want to install anything.

The numbers are estimates. Riegel predictions assume you are trained for the longer distance, and the training zones are guides drawn from one result. For race day, trust your coach, your watch and how you feel over any formula. If you track runs by GPS, our running pace calculator and race planner pairs well with this one, and our heart rate zone calculator covers effort by pulse.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate running pace?

Divide your time by your distance. Run 10 km in 50 minutes and your pace is 5:00 per km, which is about 8:03 per mile. Stride Solver does this in either direction, so you can also enter a pace and a distance to get your finish time.

What pace do I need for a sub-2 half marathon?

Two hours over 21.0975 km is about 5:41 per km, or 9:09 per mile. Choose Half, set the time to 2:00:00 and solve for pace to see it. The Splits tab then shows each kilometre or mile.

How accurate is the race time predictor?

It uses the Riegel formula with an adjustable exponent, 1.06 by default. It tends to work well for runners with solid mileage and overestimate what newer runners can hold over a marathon. Treat it as a planning number.

Is this the real Running Pace Calculator app?

No. Stride Solver is an original tool inspired by Running Pace Calculator and is not affiliated with its developer. Get the app from the Download links above.

Does it work offline and is it free?

It is free and needs no account. Once the page has loaded it makes no further requests, so it keeps working if you lose signal.
