Beach Buggy Racing is Vector Unit’s cheerful kart racer for phones: sunny islands, loose sand, and a drift that pays you back with a boost. We wanted that loop on its own, with no install, so we built Coral Run, a small 3D buggy sprint that runs right here on the page. It is free, there is no signup, and it works on a phone, a laptop or a desktop. Three laps, one clock, and a ghost to beat.
Play Coral Run now
Tap Race to start. Steer, hold Drift in the bends, and release for a boost. Best played with sound on.
How to play
The buggy accelerates by itself, so you only steer. On a phone, use the two pads on the left, hold Drift on the right, and tap Item when you hold one. On desktop, use the arrow keys or A and D, hold Space to drift, press X for an item, and press P to pause.
Hold Drift through a bend and a three-step bar fills. Let go while it shows a short, long or max boost and the buggy surges ahead. Blue pads on the road give a free burst, glowing cubes hand you a surge or a bubble that absorbs one hit, and starfish build a multiplier as long as you stay off the walls. Tide pools slow you down, so steer around them.
Every day brings a new island circuit, the same for everyone, and your streak counts the days you finish it. After your first race, your best run comes back as a ghost. Your times, streak and unlocks stay on your device. Nothing leaves your browser.
Challenge a friend
After a race, Share creates a link that carries the circuit, your score and your pace. A friend who opens it sees your score as the target and races your ghost on the same circuit. Nothing is rewarded for sending a link. If a friend finishes your challenge and sends a reply link, opening it on your device unlocks a cosmetic paint. You can also save the last seconds of your race as a short clip, or a score card, to your own device.
How it compares to Beach Buggy Racing
Coral Run keeps what we think carries the original: short races on bright tropical tracks, a drift that rewards patience, and pickups that change a lap. A race takes about a minute, and restarting takes one tap. The circuit is generated from the date, and we check every one with a scripted driver before it can be used, so a crash is always your own line and never a bad layout.
Most of the rest is gone on purpose. There are no weapons, no driver roster, no car upgrades, no championships and no online play. You get one buggy, three computer rivals, and pickups that are friendly: boosts and bubbles only. The handling is our own arcade sketch, and we are not claiming it matches Vector Unit’s.
If you are on your fifth race here, the real game is the better next stop. The app has power-ups, collectible drivers and buggies, upgrades and many more tracks. Coral Run is the warm-up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I play Beach Buggy Racing in a browser?
Beach Buggy Racing is a native mobile app, and we are not aware of an official browser version. Coral Run, the game on this page, is our own original buggy race built around the same drift-and-boost idea, and it runs in any modern browser on a phone or desktop. For the real game, with its power-ups, drivers and tracks, you need the app.
Is this the real Beach Buggy Racing?
No. Coral Run is an original game we built, inspired by the drift-and-boost loop of Beach Buggy Racing. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Vector Unit in any way. The buggies, island, sounds and code are all our own, and the download links above point to the official app.
Is it free?
Yes. There are no ads, no purchases, no accounts and no data collection. Your best scores, streak and unlocks live in your browser’s local storage and are never sent anywhere.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, Coral Run makes no further network requests, so it keeps running if your connection drops. Beach Buggy Racing itself needs a download first.
Why is the circuit the same for everyone today?
The layout, scenery and sky are generated from today’s date, so every player drives the same circuit and scores are comparable. A new one arrives at midnight.
